Community Building for Researchers on Generative AI-Facilitated Image-Based Abuse

Instructions

The goal of submissions is to enable researchers at all stages to receive feedback on their research from the community. We aim to create a diverse and inclusive space for workshop attendees to solicit feedback and gather ideas. We allow two types of submissions.

First option: you can submit 3-6-page papers that can have a variety of types: empirical studies, position papers, literature reviews, and works in progress, and especially welcome submissions from researchers early in their career who are developing new directions in this space.

Submissions should be 3–6 pages in length, excluding references, and follow the SOUPS MS Word or LaTeX templates. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two program organizers or program committee members for relevance, originality, and quality. Upon review by the program organizers or the program committee, up to five participants will be invited to give lightning talks during the workshop, along with ten poster presentations.

The titles of the five lightning talks and ten posters will be made available on the workshop website, with the understanding that this will be accessible on a shared repository. At least one author of an accepted submission must register to and attend the workshop. To register to the workshop, fill out the registration form.

Submissions should be submitted as a PDF here.

Second option: if you wish to particpate in the workshop without a 3-6-page paper submission, you can submit a participation request in our registration form alongside a 300-500-word statement of motivation for your interest in the workshop (e.g., by referring to previous or ongoing work relating to one of the topics in our Call for Ideas). To submit the statement of motivation, select "No" as the answer to the last question "Do you have an accepted submission to our Call for ideas?" which will open a new page with a text box titled "Statement of motivation".
